Selling a Browning Hi Power Safari chambered in .243. These use Sako actions and were built in Finland. S/N puts date of Mfg between 1959 and 1962. This was in the salt wood era for these rifles, but as you can see, this one escaped that plight. No rust to be found anywhere, even though it still wears the original stock. The grain on the stock is gorgeous, even with the nicks in the finish.

The rifle shoots accurately, with my normal load launching a 90gr TGK. I've taken one blacktail with this, no fuss or muss.

The stock has a number of dings and scratches. Most look to be 50 years worth of safe rash, as the metal has not suffered the same fate. I did not try to refinish the stock, as I'm not terribly skilled in that realm. But, it's a heck of a hunting rifle, and made when items like this were built with time and care. Fit and finish is outstanding, and it's a cool piece of history.

$1200 delivered to the lower 48.

Beautiful rifle! That metal looks amazing for its age. That could be a fun project for someone to spruce up the stock and have an heirloom quality rig! GLWS
