Broadhead weight

Yes I will check total weight. What is the weight most are aiming for?

What arrow brand, model, spine and shaft length are you shooting? Measure shaft from the insert to the back of the shaft, not including the nock. What type of fletching? I'll run it through my software and tell you the weight.

So what weight are you shooting for elk? I'm shooting 100 g slick trick magnums. PSE X - force shooting around 64 lbs with plans to max out to 70 before taking on elk. Mainly hunt whitetails, I would like to stay close to my current set up. I'm blowing through deer with no issues but elk are a different cat.

Your set up will work just fine with an arrow over 400 grains. I like mine at 425 grains personally. Slick tricks are good heads. I like shuttle ts myself but I doubt it makes any difference.
Cranking up your poundage isnt even necessary with that bow. If you comfortable with 70 lbs , go for it, but it is by no means necessary.

If you're blowing through deer without issues, I'd stick with what you have can call it good. You would have to be shooting straws out of today's compounds for it not to work. I see you're shooting Easton shafts and just quickly putting 2 and 2 together you're shooting somewhere around a 400+ grain arrow. I wouldn't change a thing.

I would put standard blades in your existing ST ferrules and kill an elk. The standards will penetrate better then the bigger cut.

Thanks guys. I may look at the standard cut but I already have 4 packs of magnum replacements laying around. I just happened across a thread about shooting heavy inserts heavy BH and the likes. I feel real confident w my setup as it is now so I didn't want to change drastically. Thread most have been for larger animals

im shooting 125 grain exodus with 50 grain inserts. 450-460ish depending on vanes and wrap
