Broadhead to field point weight

Question for you all as far as shooting wood arrows. Are your field point weights the same as your broadheads?

No, my broadheads are slightly heavier due to different mass distribution. In addition, in colder weather your draw length will shorten slightly and that compensates for that as well. Always try out with your hunting clothes on.

My field tips are 190 grains and my broadheads 200, so close enough for woodies.

FP's are 145 and heads are 150.

Not exactly the same but within 5 grains when I shot woodies. 145FP and 150BH

Yes and no—-it depends on the setup. I don’t notice a difference in 10 gr either way and it’s one of the reasons I like shooting wood. I’m mostly shooting slow longbows, so it might make a difference with a faster longbow or recurve.

Dollar bill weighs 17 grains. I've yet to meet anyone who's not a proffessional that would notice a 100 bill wrapped around the front of their shaft. Just food for thought.
