Anyone run one for office edc?
I just need something for dress up days in and out while teaching.

I have a Patagonia black hole small message bag I like. Not sure if they are still made though, and depending on where you work it might be too casual.

Just found out about this company today. They are pricy, but the bags look nice https://nutsac.com

As a salty old sailor I like their name.

I've had Timbuk bags, they are well made, but not something I loved.

A little more spendy than the average bag but quality stuff. Ebay and poshmark have some good deals now and again.

Had Filsons for years - briefcase and then computer bag. Picked up a mystery ranch. I like it but I am not exactly crazy about the front pocket design. May go back to Filson at some point.

look at the Filsons. Wife has had a briefcase for years and it works great as a computer bag and looks great. I recently bought a zipper tote for a computer bag, it is really large and will fit a computer and large text or two.

Really like my J. Crew Abingdon canvas messenger. Found it on Poshmark for only $30. It isn't very structured though, if that is something you need the Filson bags would work better.

Be careful with messenger bags as alot of them are designed to look sturdier then they actually are (ex fake leather latches that are actually button or magnetic closures).

Oh and If you want leather, also do some searching on Etsy.

I used a 5.11 Messenger bag during my 4 year stint in the Fire Marshals office. Great little bag for having daily office essentials and edc gear.

I use a Mystery Ranch briefcase which also converts to backpack mode. Rugged and good looking.

MYSTERY RANCH CONVERTIBLE BRIEFCASE

Backpack mode is exceptionally handy because I often end up with 2 laptops, cords, spare battery block for cell, etc. More weight than I prefer to carry but that's what happens...

Backpack mode is awesome in airports and when in DC, Manhattan, etc on appointments with long walks. Beats the hell out of having one briefcase shoulder strap digging into you. Shoulder straps store when not in use.

I use one of their rugged twill original briefcases and it is fantastic. Might have to pick up a leather version one of these days.
My folks gave me a Filson rugged twill padded computer bag as a college graduation gift 10 years ago. It has seen a lot of use since then but still looks and functions like new.

I have had the osprey flapjack courier for about 10 years of pretty hard use. I had it for 5 years as a surgical resident dragging it through stuffed full. I also use it on every trip I make for work for 1-3 days stuffed full on the plane. Still works great. Osprey has a couple other nicer ones now that are more business like. I also saw a nice looking carhartt messenger that was cheaper.

Here is the one I have drug through the mud.

love a backpack as a briefcase. Orvis and Tumi are a couple of my best yet. Depends on how much you carry and the look you want

I have run most brands at some point or abother for work, travel.

For the last 3 years, i have been using Filson . Very happy with it. Nice, but understated. So far has been very durable.

This briefcase has a hidden magnetic pocket for your edc love it so far.

Checkout Kodiak Leather, really like mine. Just a few of their options below. Also checkout their clearance area, very high quality leather products and canvas.
