Brass quality how important is it?

Use to load for my 300 WM with Norma and was at 7 firings before I got rid of the rifle. Not sure how many more firings were left on that brass but I thought that was decent life. I bought 400 pcs of new Norma 223. Plan on Fire forming with some cheap 55 gr stuff then work on the 77's.

Hornady or Norma will be just fine for most applications. But, you won't likely get as many firings and will run through brass more over the course of owning the rifle.

ADG, Peterson, Lapua, or Alpha are all going to be way tougher and will last a lot longer. Are they needed? No. But for me reloading is something I enjoy so why not have some nice things to make the whole process more enjoyable.

I had some Hornady 6.5 PRC brass that I used for fouling the barrel and shooting steel. After 3 firings, most of the 50pcs were toast and would not hold a primer. I replaced them with ADG and was at 6 or 7 firings on them before I sold the rifle and they had zero signs of failure. Very similar load data and velocity so I am guessing pressure was very close but the ADG was clearly going to last a lot longer.
