Brass Cleaning

So a couple months ago I started in on prepping some of my brass. I got all the primers punched, but ran out of free time with work and life that I wasn't able to continue the process, so the brass was left on the workbench. My question is, that the case lube that I used has left some residue on the brass that now I realize I needed to wipe off right after punching primers. What is going to be my best option for cleaning the residue off? It's kind of tacky now, doesn't just wipe off with a rag. Thanks for any ideas!

I use a Rcbs vibratory case cleaner with walnut media. But if you don't have one and it's not a whole bunch of brass, I would use some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.

I would throw them in the vibratory cleaner as well if they are stained.

Alcohol or acetone on a rag will get the tacky lube off... then run through the tumbler if you have one.

After resizing, I rinse in hot water with dish soap, rinse in clean water then run them through Iosso brass cleaner kit, then rinse again. I set the cases in a mesh pan and set them in the dehumidifier exhaust to speed drying.

Can do batches of 150 to 200 cases of 6.5x47L this way.

This method is cheap and works well but you wont get the shine that a tumbler gets, a non-issue for me.
