Can't quite say it was 4lbs but it was close! Caught in a small local pond. Biggest one I've caught so far!

OK, I might sound like a real hillbilly, but I've had some smoked carp in my life that was not too bad. They are oily and boney. So if you get them to a certain temp. inside, the meat slides off the bones.

Slow start to the year so far here in the north east but we did get a Blue Marlin a few years back. Hopefully will get another one in a few weeks.

high mountain lake that you had to earn your way in—no trails, steep, blowdown, snow, etc; but we lost count at about 40 fish (west slope cutts) each in 3-4 hours

Wow, some great stuff posted since I last checked - congrats some beautiful fish
Our ocean salmon season opened a few weeks back but its been windy on the days I could go, but finally its been nice so made it out this morning. The fishing was pretty crazy, I never could get my line out before getting bit, got my 2 fish in about 30 minutes or so, lost a couple also so a fun morning!

Couple day backpacking trip into a secure undisclosed location. Well, apparently "others" knew about it as i lost several quarters of hemoglobin due to %$#@$% mosquitos and horse flies.

Dad, brother, and I just got back from a guided trip in northern SK. We all caught multiple pike over 40", and Dad and I caught a few really nice lakers. We were over 20 fish per person every day. Trip of a lifetime for sure.
