Braggin Board for Fishing!

Caught this Flathead just before dark tonight. Wind was blowing 20-25mph with 40mph gust. He slammed the bait 3-4min after I casted it out. Bait clicker was screaming and it was a hard fight! Bent/almost straightened out my 12/0 Khale hook and almost got off. He was 34lbs
Hiked in through some steep country to get to this spot with a bunch of gear but it was worth it. Released it and had one other run at 10:30 but it hung me in a tree and got off.

I’ve been waiting and hoping to catch a tiger. I’ve been enamored with them since I was a child. They’ve eluded me so far. That’s a beautiful fish!
Thanks, they are a cool fish, that’s the first one that’s actually died by my hand, I have always released them in the past…. Just because they’re cool

Probably never personally kill another, once they are filleted, they are just chunks of meat like every other fish, they lose their cool factor, so I assume let them live if I catch them. Coolest rockfish in Oregon imo

I understand that. There are several species that get a pass from me, like Chinas. Just not much meat on them. Tigers are such beautiful fish and seem to be pretty uncommon catches, turning them loose makes perfect sense.
