Planning out a fly fishing trip to Montana, currently looking at doing the following:
- 2 days in Missoula doing guided float trips
- 1 day in Bozeman with a guided float trip
- 4 days DIY on smaller streams/rivers in Yellowstone and just camp out there
Any guide recommendations yall have for the first 3 days? Or is it like east coast tailwater trips I’ve done where every guide is going to float the same stretch of river fishing the same holes?
Primary focus of Yellowstone portion will still be on fishing, but mid day me and my buddy may do some sightseeing. Considering the sights are secondary, anywhere that’s on the must see list? Or spots to skip?
