Mainly wondering about fit. I have the sitka and like the quality but they fit in the hips and waist like a size bigger than the thighs. Is the firstlite more consistent?

I am assuming your talking about the Sitka merino boxers. I have a pair of them and also a pair of red deserts. For all intents and purposes I think they are comparable. Both were a little big on me. I haven't tried the new first lite yet but I most likely will. In all honestly I find myself going to the Sitka core underwear more the the merino. I have 6 pairs and I wear them almost daily.

The First Lites are great. I wear mine all the type at the gym hunting about four or five days and I changed them out for another pair. Which ain't bad at all!

I feel like the Firstlite fit like that, they are a little loose in the waist/hip area compared to the thigh. At least on me. I have some Firstlite Red Deserts and the new Glenbrooks which are the 3/4 length. They are very comfortable, but not nearly as durable as the Sitka merino. I prefer wearing the Sitka if I don't want the longer 3/4 length on. I have worn my Sitka a ton more than the Firstlite and they show no signs of coming apart. Both the Red Deserts and Glenbrooks looked like they were starting to come apart by the seams after only one or two times wearing them. The Sitka might be slightly more restrictive as they feel like they don't stretch quite as much and the material is thicker, but I still choose them over my Firstlite for comfort and durability.
