I’ve heard rumor Spot Hogg could be coming out with something new next year on another forum. Anyone know if Black Gold will be releasing an updated version of the dual trac or enter in the vertical 3 pin market?

My prediction for this year is a good update to the Black Gold line. I haven't heard anything but I suspect it will happen, as needs to happen.

I don't think sales stats are out there but Black Gold is still probably the best selling line. But they are getting old compared to the Spott Hogg boonie, Axcel Driver, Dailed Pruf, UV Slider, HHA Nytrx, etc.

Black gold still holds their own even being old. They still have some of the best pins on the market and their dimming system is awesome. The dial system is rough compared to others and overall they don't feel as refined.

I agree. I’ve ran several sights and I’d just assume have a BG. We will see.

Good sights for sure. The derlin drive and just general refinement just isn't quite there compared some other sights. I think black gold set the bar like 8 years ago and just needs some polishing.

I think CBE will also have to step their game up

Friend of mine that owns a shop said he was told of something new from spot Hogg but they wouldn’t tell him what. I’m planning to update my sight this year and will wait to see what they have coming

Following. Keep updated when y’all here something. I doing a new bow build and torn between the Boonie and Canyon pounder…but maybe something better has yet to come!

It will be difficult for them to win me back from my Boonies. They can take anything you throw at them! My BG’s feel fragile in comparison. 🤔

I have soft spot for BG, I feel like there sight picture is the best around. Bets pin brightness and best light management system with the shell. They aren't as robust as my Spot Hoggs however I haven't had any failures ever with them. I have one been on probably 50 hunts around the world and is sitting going strong.
I think they make a good product for the most part

only sight I had that broke was a black gold. slider stripped. and wouldn't budge. never had an issue with HHA and SH. BG are step down in durability imo I could never trust one again

I picked up a BG Dual Trac Pro sight 2 weeks ago after running an older BG single pin for years. I love it! would be cool to see some upgrades to old faithful, but for now, it was money well spent.

I want to see more 2” Sight Housing from Black Gold.

Some of us are running 1/4” Peeps due to vision / low light gathering abilities and a 2” sight housing is king here.

My hunting bows are setup for sub 40 yards, I don’t need 3/8 target peeps and 1.5” housings, I need bigger for my eyes to gather more light for that first 30 minutes and last 30.

My .02 as a Bowhunter

Hopefully some guys from BG, SH, Axcel, Dialed, UV, HHA etc.. are here listening

I've known a few blokes in my circle to move away from the MG dual trac because they don't take a hit well and they move.

If they come out with an adjustable 3 pin vertical housing I might be keen to have a look. HHA and Dialed have my interest with their new offerings but they're hugely expensive.

I’ve used black gold and been unimpressed by the durability and quality of the sights.

I think spot Hogg, HHA, and option archery are crushing it for durability and quality. But you pay a price.

I’ve had the same BG since 2012 and have had no problems. I don’t get the durability thing because mine has been quite durable. What are you guys doing? Throwing your bow 15 feet and letting it bounce off the rocks? 🤣 I’ve taken some pretty good falls without any durability issues. My single vertical pin is nice and bright. The wheel moves just fine and locks in place. I’ll get another one when I get a new bow.
