I'm moving my family from Minnesota to Columbia Falls, MT in a little over a month, I'm extremely excited! I have a bunch of work I need done on my bow (new strings, arrows, rest, and sight) and I'm planning on waiting until I move so I can get set up by a pro shop out there. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good shop in the area that knows their stuff?

Thanks in advance!

Flaming Arrow Archery is the only shop in town but they are very good. They are currently moving locations to add a 20 yard range but are supposed to re-open April 2nd. They stock a ton of stuff and have always done great for me on the knowledge side of things. Welcome to the area!

Thanks! I did see they were the only real bow shop in town, good to know they are legit! According to the website they carry all the brands of accessories in looking at except for the rest (looking at a hamskee). Looks like they'll be getting a lot of my money in the near future!

Thanks again! I'm counting the minutes until we sign the papers and become property owners in Montana!

I will be in there next week and double check but I’m pretty sure they have hamskea rests too :) I’m relatively new to the area as well. Haven’t met any archery friends haha

That would be awesome, let me know what you find. I'd love to get everything in one spot and support a local business. Once I get in and get settled we should meet up and do some shooting... Find a 3d course or something!

flaming arrow is your best bet. the shop has been around for decades, although the original owner died two years ago, Dennis was an amazing bowhunter. a year or so before that his right hand man who was a top tier coach died suddenly of a heart attack at a young age. the young lady that has taken the reigns now is really great and does the best she can to keep good staff on hand but I wouldn't recomend having any work done close to hunting season, they get slammed since they are really the only game in town and they have to bring in extra help during busy season and you may not have a pro working on your bow. I've been out of the country for six months so I'm out of touch but the Sportsman Ski Haus has been trying to build up their archery department, the sell Prime, Mathews, and Hoyt now. I'm not sure about their staff but it's a cool store to check out when you get into town. They have great prices on guns there.

I bought my Prime Rival at Sportsman Ski Haus in 2016. Great prices and they seemed to have a knowledgable staff (I do my own tuning). They are about about 9 hours away and I haven't been back.
