I was testing draw weights on a couple bows today and realized my hoyt charger has an actual letoff of 85%, spec is 75. Is this normal or is something off?

What is your peak weight and your holding weight? To have a bow be that much over is not common.

Does your bow have the correct draw stop in the bottom cam? If it has a smaller draw stop it’ll increase the let off slightly.

How you measure the holding weight affect the value. It’s measured as you pull the bow back back, not allowing any creep forward which lightens the weight due to friction (hysteresis) in the system. Could be affecting your calculations? Anyway AMO (Archery Manufacturers Organization) specifies that in their standard, or did years ago.
