Bow left in wet case

So I'm the dummy who put his bow away dry and the cheapo Plano case got water in it and now it's been sitting in a sauna for a week. A bunch of bolt heads have some real orangey rust but I'm more worried about what I can't see. Do I need to take apart my bow bolt by bolt and clean and lube everything or is it just surface tarnish?

It is more than likely surface rust in that amount of time. If it was my bow I would take it apart, clean, and lube.

I hunted last year in rain, and could not keep bow dry. It got rust residue in same places like you say. I just cleaned what I could, wiped with oil and let it set and it was fine. If yours was only a week you will be fine. Just get oil soaking on all steel hardware type parts (even ones that seemed to be ok).
A year later I have no issues. No more developing rust. No noises. No worries.

If you have the time, equipment, and understanding, then take a part what you are comfortable doing and inspect, clean and reassemble.
