Looking for suggestions on a bow hook or some other similar device to use while still hunting and stalking so I don't have to lay the bow on the ground to use both hands on the binos. I've got a sling for carrying the bow but that's not practical to use when closing the deal on a stalk or still hunting.

I will use my bow to steady my binos. I rest the bottom cam on my thigh and lay my binos across the top cam to steady them. If I need to shoot quickly after glassing my bow is already in my bow hand.

I asked the FHF guy to mount one on his bino case upside down like the hook for the bungee lid closure. Then just hang your D loop on it.

Or if you have a bow loop on your pants adjust it so you can use your top cam to steady your binos.

I've used the sitka hook at 3ds and casual shooting outside, come to think of it I think my buddy stole it he liked it so much.works great. Never used it hunting, I do what OR archer does. Any longer glassing it's getting set down.

Thanks all, going to give the Sitka a try and see how it works. It appears to fold in so I'm hoping it won't catch on brush, etc. I've tried resting the binos on the top cam and the bottom on my thigh but at 6'6" that's never worked well with today's shorter ATA bows.... Seems I'm always bending over to get the bottom cam on my thigh or I have to lift my leg up.

`ya that might be an issue. the Sitka does have little rubber things that keep the hook closed when not in use. I may have to find mine and do some experimenting.

This what I do as well. Works pretty slick and steadies the binos up real well.

with a 64" long bow I set the tip of the bottom limb on my boot and rest the binos on the top limb works really well :D. If you're using a compound check out the Kifaru gun bearer and do a search on here on how well it actually works.

I have separate belt that has a cheap hook, like the sportsman's ware house hook listed above, and a holster for resting the lower cam. The hook is for glassing, the holster is for supporting the bow with a knocked arrow in anticipation of an unfolding shot opportunity. I don't always wear it, but there are times when I wish I had!

Third hand archery hip clip is legit, I don’t think there is a better option

I keep one on my pack or more often, bino harness under my left arm. Perhaps the most useful bow gadget I’ve seen

Third Hand is the best and easily adapted to rc harness, back pack or just a pants belt.
