Boulder Colorado Attractions

The family is headed to Boulder next week, taking my oldest daughter for a college visit. We're going to spend a few days so I'd like to know if there are any good archery shops, outdoor stores, etc. dad needs to check out while were in the area? Also, are there any good family attractions we need to check out? Family of 5, 3 daughters ages 11,13,15.

Great info so far, thank you! I will add we are going to Red Rocks for a concert while there and not afraid to take a little drive for the right attraction/reason. Thanks again.

1 Shot Gear is down in Golden. Lots of hiking for the family: Chautauqua Park, the Flatirons, and Eldorado Springs are good.

Boulder = 10 sq miles surrounded by reality.

I visited back in may,if you fly fish- front range anglers is great. We also hiked the royal arch hike and loved that.

Agree with checking out Front Range but definitely run in to Neptune Mountaineering. Awesome high end shop with some amazing pieces from climbing history in there.

For the family, Pearl street mall is cool (basically a must do) Park around 8th or 9th and walk East on Pearl St. then back..it’ll take a few hours.
And, a few nice climbing gyms that offer kids classes.

Mcguckins is a badass ‘hardware’ store that’s worth a walkthrough. Coffee shop on sw corner is good, too.
For a fun drive, go up Eldorado canyon ( $10? pay station to get to the end) but good picnic spot and a pretty good hike if you’re in the mood…just gotta decide if you want to go down to the river or not.
Boulder to Nederland to Ward and back down left hand canyon is a fun loop to drive.

No archery stores in Boulder, Archery in the Wylde in Longmont is closest (<30min)
Gun Sport is a very cool gun shop, a lot of variety (only gun shop in Boulder)

Lots of decent restaurants/ food variety.
Sherpas on the west end of Pearl has great Nepalese food…a few of those guys summited Everest and other notable peaks many times.
Chez Thui for Vietnamese and an attitude.
Best burger IMO- Southern Sun (cash only) Very Good beer selection.^^^ Next to Neptune
Eclectic AF collage Boulder Burger joint- Dark Horse
Italian- Carelli’s
Second choice probably Pasta Jays
Sushi?
Fun flavors- Happa
Legit sushi- Zanmai
Walnut cafe for breakfast or Lucille‘s if you want really good breakfast.
Tons of good food
Snarfs or illegal Pete’s for lunch!
