Bought a Leica spotting scope, need help ASAP!

So I won a Leica APO Televid 65 on a ebay auction last week and the scope arrived yesterday and upon inspection the glass looked good and isn't scratched, the body has a couple scuff marks, but overall excellent shape. Then I look through it and when I adjust the focus to fine tune the detail I have got a bunch of very very small black dots on the image. I took the eyepiece off and have cleaned all available surfaces and they're still there. Has the purge been compromised? Looking through the glass is great its just I see these little black dots when I focus on something. Wondering if I need to file a paypal and ebay complaint, because there was no mention of this in the description...

Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looked some more and they actually look like super tiny air pockets...

I'd contact the seller through ebay and ask about the issue, was it new from an authorized dealer? if not it might be hard to get Leica to fix without a lot of expense...I'd play it safe for sure...

Saw that scope on eBay....decent buy. You likely got a good optic, 'spots' notwithstanding.
Is the problem with e/p or body? Did you rotate the entire eyepiece whilst viewing to see if the dots rotate too?
The best recourse is to contact the seller. Tell him whats up. He may credit you some.

If that doesn't pan out, I'd just send it in to Leica for a cleaning and purge. Leica can be a bit of a pita for service, especially compared to mighty Swarovski, but they'll get it done.
The Leica 65 and 82 APOs are hard to find used and priced right so take solace in that.

So it's definitely in the eyepiece. Rotated and dots moved. Above are two pics I took not looking directly into the objective but that's what I'm seeing. I also feel I got a pretty fair deal, it's just this was a big purchase for me and I've been able to look through a Meopta S2 and a Swaro ATX and neither of them had any sort of dots so I immediately got angry thinking they sold me a messed up scope, which they kind of did cause I feel that should have been mentioned, but now that I know it isn't the body I'm a little bit happier. Does anyone have a ballpark on how much that might cost for Leica to repair, so I can ask for a refund of that amount?

Okay, so you have it narrowed down, good. btw...your pics won't open here.
The e/p is much more portable and cheaper to ship, and it's a bit more durable too for the trip to Leica.

Call Leica, do NOT tell them that you just bought this on eBay, DO tell them you noticed 'spots' in your very fine 25-50 e/p recently and will you please examine and fix.
Tell them you very much like their products and there is a good chance a repair will be gratis. At the most you may pay $100-$150 for cleaning/ purging and lubrication.
As an aside, Leica's new spotters are the finest glass in the world in my opinion, and most guys here know I love Swarovski's glass, and have had my share. Your situation isn't unique, do your diligence, in the end, you'll love that optic.
