This goes way beyond BP pack launch. This is a horrible look for hunters and the hunting community. If it was him, a guy with his name and industry history doing that on video is massive fuel for the anti hunting orgs. Not good folks.

Where have we seen this before... Yet, another example of the hunting community becoming its own worst enemy.

It’s rough. Why anyone has a desire to do that to an animal, let alone, while being recorded, is beyond my understanding. If it was previously wounded as some have said makes it even worse, just put the animal out as quickly as possible.

It literally looks like a guy trying to finish off a coyote with a knife that is still very much capable of biting him. Its not any different than someone on a "pig hunt" with a big ass knife while trying to stay away from the business end of said pig.

Optics aren't great but seems like a LOT of overreaction to a 12 second video with zero context.

yes because why would you ever finish off a wounded coyote with the rifle, bow, etc you used to wound it in the first place...

I don’t particularly think knifing a wild hog after the dogs bayed it up is making your point… that’s just dumbassery masquerading as sport.

No one cares because they don’t see videos of it… there’s a fine line we walk in terms of self regulation/maintaining freedom vs external regulation/imposition. I don’t really care about the hit job aspect of this… it’s a bad look. Oregon is in the middle of trying to ban hunting and fishing outright. The last thing hunters need is crap like this.

I agree the optics are bad. But as others have said, sometimes things go sideways when you're trying to kill any animal. It shouldn't have been filmed but it was. I would bet it was filmed just in case he did get bit, not that he's some crazy blood thirsty POS that abuses puppy's. Who wouldn't want to see Snyder get bit by a pissed off coyote? The timing see way more suspect than the actual video. I'm guessing someone who has a competitive interest in a new backpack launch would be willing to release the video.

The Anit's will always find something and in this day and age they will spin everything they can to make their point. Oregon is trying to ban hunting because their politics sucks. If/When that happens, I expect Cali, Washington, CO and others to follow suit.
