What is really aggravating me, is the numbers of Canadians that are allowed to freely travel back and forth across the border. My neighbor works for the University of Buffalo and has 3 employees that live in Canada and cross the border every day. They aren’t “essential”. I see Ontario plates all over Buffalo daily. Yet when we start fishing close to the border in Lake Erie the Canadian coast guard is just sitting there waiting for us to slip up so they can ticket/fine us. If Trudeau won’t let us in, let’s keep them out as well. Put the thousands of Canadians that work in the US out of work and see how fast the boarder opens….petty, spiteful and childish, yes, but I bet it would be effective.

I totally understand your frustration. And believe me when I say the majority of Canadians arent happy with how our Liberal government has dealt with this situation.
But also know that there are a ton of Canadians who live, work etc in the US. Having spent a lot of my career in oil & gas I know a ton of guys working rigs in the states. It goes both ways. The company I am currently contracting to is begging for guys to go to ND, OK & TX.
And to be brutally honest, kicking Canadians out of the US for work purpose and having them stay at home without work is the last thing our shit government is concerned about.

I think we are going to get some positive news soon. At least if you are a vaccinated traveler. It would be a def feel good positive announcement before an election is called for.

Let’s cross our fingers at least because if no announcement comes before an election is requested this issue is a lame duck till the polls close.

CNN made that look a lot worst than it is. They are working on what they will do for vaccinated visitors at this time. What that means for vaccinated hunters has yet to be seen

The border opening will be a surprise to everyone when it happens. I spoke to GOABC beginning of last week. They know absolutely nothing. They are not even being given inside industry information from the government.

The only people that know are the feds and on both sides of the border they are not giving any info. It will be news to everyone when they provide a date.

The whole thing is odd. Hell the airline industry is suing the UK over a lack of transparency regarding reopening. All major countries have decided its better to keep citizens in the dark than provide transparent communication.

The first step is to first provide the vaccination info, 750k or 6 months in jail or both is the fraud penalty. The vaccine lots are tacked closely it seems.

i have seen an email from an outfitter from the yukon that says...the full vaccination requirements include both shots of pfizer,astra zeneca, and moderna..must be completed within 14 days of arrival to canada .apparently the johnson and johnson vaccine wont get you in???

Isn’t too hard to figure out. I guess each Providence could come up with their own list of accepted vaccines but I’d find that hard to believe they would.

I think you are correct, their current regulations do not consider a JNj vaccine as fully vaccinated

JNJ is approved in Canada. I'll try and find the link the feds released with the list.
