I've got a pair of the KUIU Scarpa 10's that have been really great for anything steep, but I find they're a bit stiff for stalking around the "rainforests" looking for deer in Alaska (obviously not their intended purpose)

I'm looking for some recommendations for good boots.

Insulated are preferred since I do a lot of Oct-December hunting when it gets real cold and if its hot out, I'm ok with some foot sweat because they sweat anyway.

Waterproof is an obvious must for crossing creeks (with Gaiters) and marching around muskegs. I don't like rubber boots really so those are out. Looking for a laceup

In terms of my priorities: Comfortable > Light > Durability > Price

Durability is really not a huge concern. I don't want them failing mid hunt, but if I have to buy new ones every couple of seasons, that's fine. Cost isn't a factor.

Thank you ahead of time for any pointing in the right direction.

I live on the Oregon Coast which isn't unfamiliar to rain. I got the Danner Elements with 400g insulation a couple years ago and they've been awesome. I haven't found too many popular boots deamed comfortable to fit my foot, but these boots have been super comfortable since day one. Deer hunted in them this year in the sopping wet and feet were dry at the end of the day, even going through streams and creeks. If it's raining during the week I'll wear them to work where I am on my feet for 8 hours. I also wore them sheep hunting in February with about 2 feet of snow on the ground and in a blizzard, feet never once got cold. Nice thing is too they have no insualtion, 400g, and 800g insulation options
