So I'm on the hunt for new lowa boots but I hate dealing with online stores. the one shop I could find in Colorado Springs that was a Lowa dealer is no longer carrying them to make room for more gun racks and bass pro sucks and sportsmans warehouse carries kenetrek and zamberlan but that's really it. Any of my fellow Coloradoans know of any boot shops hiding in the springs or Denver?

i don't live in Colorado so I have limited knowledge about area stores but I would go to an REI store and see what models they carry. I love my Lowa's but I have read good things about Zamberlan's fwiw.

Shoebuy.com has 25% off right now with free shipping and free returns. Plus you have 60days to return.

The Custom Foot in Denver has them. I've been in there once and the owner was great to deal with, unfortunately he passed away a couple years ago. I've read mixed reviews of the store online since then but haven't been back.

My experience is that REI doesn't have Lowa hunting boots. I've been in there and haven't seen Tibets or Bighorns.

I use Shoebuy a lot and they will sometimes offer 30% off. I hunt in hiking boots in spring and early fall which is why I suggested REI and I think they sell Lowa hiking boots. I got my Lowa's with 200 gr (from shoe buy) that I hunt in when it gets colder. Some hiking boots are great to hunt in when weather and snakes cooperate.

REI is an authorized dealer they can order any boot you want you'll just have to pay shipping. If they don't fit your out the few bucks for shipping.

yeah, REI only sells the tibet. which only the denver flagship store has... i might go check them out this weekend. I get very impatient with the USPS. the Asolo Bajura kind of peaked my interest that i found on sierra trading post but i'm not sure if they have them at the store. thanks for the info though everyone.

I'll vouch for The Custom Foot. They were honest with helping me out on a foot/boot issue and I ended up buying their insoles. They do carry Lowa and some others and will also measure your feet for a proper fit. I do believe they charge for it if you don't buy their boots but IMHO it was money well spent. Just an FYI, it's still ski season and they are probably still slammed right now if you go in on a Saturday.

Other CO stores,

Bentgate Mountaineering in Golden. They have a website as well and run some pretty sweet sales. If you have big feet, like size 13, the selection is limited in the stores.

Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder. Good folks, knowledgeable, not sure if they carry Lowa but they have Scarpa, La Sportiva and Hanwag.

Sierra Trading Post has a store in the Littleton area. Not sure what they'll have in stock though.

REI's become a joke.
