Book Recommendations?

By quick glance at the bookshelf, these are a few of my favorites and ones I'd highly recommend. Bowhunting Alaska's Wild Rivers by Jay Massey. A Thousand Campfires by Jay Massey. Fred Bears Field Notes by Fred bear. Hunting the Hard Way by Howard Hill. And Bowhunting for Mule deer by Dwight schuh.

What are your favorite hunting books? I’m mainly looking for books that are species specific regarding animal behavior and hunting tactics etc but I’m open to anything.

I’m finding myself spending way too much time on my phone to research hunting and would like a healthier alternative. Thanks!
This may be an obscure one. But I've been reading "How to trade stocks" by Jesse Livermore.

I've hardly done anything with the stock market, as I'm quite young. But the story is fascinating to me.

I can’t believe only one Rokslider has mentioned “Hunting Big Mule Deer: How to Take the Best Buck of Your Life” by our very own Robby Denning. It should be required reading for ANYBODY who ever plans to set foot in the woods chasing after mule deer. I’ve read it a few times and latch onto something different each time.
I just bought this one off Amazon, looking forward to reading it

I recently read Mountain Drifter by Zach Bowman. I listened to him on the S2H podcast and ordered right then. While not really a tactics kind of book it was a great read! I got a lot of laughs out of it. I’d recommend it.

Those Jay Massey books are not cheap, might want to hold onto them.

Ive read a couple lately, they aren’t specifically hunting, but in the adventure/history genres. Definitely include some hunting under dire circumstances.

A Land So Strange
Andrés Reséndez
A narrative history about the Narváez expedition and the epic, eight‑year journey of the four survivors (Cabeza de Vaca, two other Spaniards, and the enslaved Moor Estebanico).

River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey
Candice Millard
Modern narrative about Roosevelt’s tragic, perilous expedition down the Amazon’s “River of Doubt.”

I also found this Jay Massey book on the Internet Archive.
The archive is a great resource.
