Can't believe I forgot this one. One of best books I've ever read. Couldn't put it down, read it in 2 days.If you like post apocalyptic type stuff, checkout "One Second After" by William Forstchen
Excellent read!"A sand county almanac" By Aldo Leopold. Written in kind of short, choppy, chapters so you can basically turn it to any page and start reading then put down to go hunt without losing your place. Plus, as the father of conservation, it is a book we should all read. I take it to my deer stand every year.
Red Notice by Bill Browder. Unbelievable non fiction account of Russian shenanigans. Page turnerI’m looking for some recommendations for a book or two to take on a backcountry hunt where the Alaska weather could have us trapped in a tent for a few days. But let me say, I’m not a book reader. I need something easy to read and fast paced that keeps you engaged. The only books I’ve read in the past were children’s books to my kids and now grandkids.
… and realizing you are camping in the same spot that you just read in Bear Tales… priceless!hands down you want; "Alaska Bear tales"...there are two of them- one and two- I think
This not another bs navy seal book. His story truly inspiring. Its told from those around him not by him. Most have never heard of him. Google him and you'll get a little idea of what he was like. Its not just a book of war stories. But the man was truly awesome.
