Hello,

Been a member for 2-3 years. Don't post much but have learned a lot here.

Grew up in Salmon, went to school at U of I in Moscow, river guided in Riggins, and also spent a lot of time near Grangeville when my dad lived there for about 10 years.

Currently live in Boise and have 3 young kids (5 year old daughter, 3 year old son, 1 year old son). I try to get a 4-6 day archery elk hunt in every year and some general mule deer with rifle and/or archery.

Looking forward to learning more and contributing more. Biggest area I could probably contribute is rafting knowledge in general or as it may relate to hunting plans.

Cheers

Howdy. Rafting is something I wish I would have done when I was younger.

A fellow Vandal is always welcome!

Go broncos. It was pretty impressionable attending a rivalry game as a kid in the 90s when the rivalry was still alive seeing the frat guys around the dome wearing shirts that said "buck the froncos." My dad threw popcorn at the U of I band members who came and played through the visitor section. Good times. I was also at Bronco Stadium the last time the Vandals won--on a last second touchdown for the conference championship. I miss the rowdiness of the rivalry.

I miss it too! Unfortunately I got spit on walking into Bronco stadium my freshmen year when I went down there so I didn’t get the greatest first impression either lol. Lot’s of good shirts made by both sides over the years though. BSU had a good one knocking Larry Craig one year. I think I still have my Boise is not a state shirt somewhere too haha. Good times for sure! Lots of friends that went to BSU. Football rivalry was prettying crooked since 2000 but we always stomped the Broncos in rugby when I played.

Welcome to rokslide. I live in Caldwell, and I'm trying to talk my wife into moving up to Salmon when I retire in a few years.

Go Vandals! Welcome aboard ! A good friend of mine guides rafts out of Riggins. We grew up together in Council. I went to work and he went to play!

Make the trip up over 4th of July for Salmon River Days. It's a good time and there's quite a few things going on in town. Temps will typically be in the low 90s as opposed to 100+ here in the Valley. That could be a selling point in your favor.
