Anyone have a recommendation for a good bow shop in Boise, indoor range is preferred but not a requirement.

It's in Caldwell, but I have received great service from Archery Central. They have a 20 yard indoor range, but the help, advice, tips, and tuning and adjustment work I have gotten from them has been priceless.

I have been to both shops, I think customer service and quality of work are better at archery central. At Dead On it can depend on who is helping you. I bought some arrows there in .340 spine, one of the arrows ended up being a .400. Then I watched the guy cut my arrows, put a drop of glue on the insert and push it in. No squaring the arrow cleaning the inside of the shaft or anything.

Bought a lot stuff from them too. I think their range is 30 yards. Both great bunch of guys. Dead On has a longer (50 yard I think) range that you can join to access after hours I believe. Probably won't be using either now that I'm doing my own work but wouldn't hesitate to.

Both places have their issues with staff. I have had different experiences with both. On a good day with the right help they are both awesome. Have had other issues with both. You're right it depends on who's working for you that day.

I just bought my own saw and equipment, now I can geek out on building arrows and can't blame anyone but myself.

That may be next on my list. I built a press and draw board. Not sure I trust a home made saw but who knows. Definitely the next step. I always square and install my own inserts.

I am also looking for a shop. Stopped in at Dead On to ask pricing on a nee string and tune for my 2011 elite. He basically told me it wouldnt be worth the money to resteing that bow and i just need to buy a new one. Sorry dont have $800+ to drop on new bow.

I had Archery Central build me one of their Death Harp string last year and it has been great. I'm using an older bow as well.

I have never been there but bought a few things from S and S Archery and also bought a couple EXO packs. S and S is a site sponsor as well. I'm confident they will treat you right

Danny at Archery Central in Caldwell, cuts ALL my Arrows and gives us, great ( very fair ) Prices ! Then, I "square" them a tiny bit, clean, dry, spin em and glue in the Inserts, myself ! They have been very helpful with, advice and helped me in choosing an offset ( a SPYDER Co.) for my stabalizer to Balance the Bow, in my hand ! They waranteed my son's PSE bow and shipped it, to the Factory for him ( he didn't even, buy it from, them !) Great people there, IMO !!!
Worth the drive from, Boise for,.. me !

Now that's a pretty long Drive ! Are there, NO Bow shops, in Mountain Home ? Park and Sons I heard where there, but don't know much about,.. them. If going "in" to Arch Cent. to buy / make arrows,..CALL, first !

My only experience is with Dead On. Decent place depending on who's helping you. TJ is the best there.
