I recently bought a Matthews Phase 4 and put 65 pound Mods and cranked it down to 60 pounds. I had the bow tuned at my local bow shop and it was ready to go. I have found that I should be shoot less poundage so I bought 60 pound mods and was thinking to install them myself and the back off the poundage in that 55-57 range. After adding the mods should I take it in to get retuned??

Yes. I had a similar situation a couple months ago. I bought one used and had it tuned and it was shooting great. A couple weeks later decided to swap mods for 70# and arrow started tailing left a little. Started over and shot it on paper and got it pulled back in moving the rest just over 1/16.

No. That's just my opinion. You'll learn your bow and the process better by doing it yourself and there are plenty of resources that show you really how easy it is. It's fun. The shop will probably charge you. And, like someone else above said, the guy at the shop can only tune it to himself. If lucky, it will work for you. I guess if they don't charge you, having them do it should get it close so your finishing tune would require less. Like I said, this is just my opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I would. The cables ride the mods as you draw so, (making this number up) say 90% of the shot the cables are on an area that was not originally tuned. In a perfect world you could probably get away with a swap-out but, we are not in a perfect world.
