BLR Takedown .30-06 Optic Recommendation?

I dunno. The skinner is a sub-$300 scope that clearly says "made in china" on the box. There is literally nothing here to indicate this is any better than the cheapest scopes available from any other company. It's possible that this little manufacturer that very few people have ever heard of designed and specd and built their own scope from the ground up to perform reliably, but I HIGHLY doubt that this isnt simply an off the shelf model with a reticle option provided by an existing low-end chinese scope manufacturer. My experiences with most scopes have been less than stellar, so as far as I'm concerned any new product like this is always guilty until proven innocent. A huron is pretty well proven and is +/- $450 at europtic every day of the week. For +/- the exact same footprint and "promised" function, the reward (saving a whopping $150) doesnt even come close to outweighing the risk imo.

A 2.5-8 leupold would be absolutely stellar on this gun. Fantastic scope if it works. I know of one that does, but mine havent. Both of mine failed to hold zero with even gentle handling, POI would wander several inches at 100 yards, and neither adjusted properly--not something I care to repeat. In this case, those are proven guilty for me, both in the intial trial and on appeal, so in my book that's not even an option if you want to have high odds of reliability. My opinion is that when the manufacturer admits in writing that 2/2 scopes broke, that a reliability problem is 100% proven fact.

And this is why I’m looking more for a Trijicon… great comment, brother.
