Seems to be done in my area. I'd estimate 18". Plenty of drifts of course.
Now it's time for cold and coyote hunting.

Shouldn’t be that many as everyone knew it was coming and were ready. I know out here all my friends were ready.Just thought now about how much livestock will be lost
That was a VERY long winter. Had a huuuge storm right before Thanksgiving & didn't see the surface of many roads til late March. I was pregnant with my first child & remember it well. Not fondly, but well. Had livestock walking over fences for months. Its still blowing and bad but this is childs play compared to the winter of 96-97. It was my senior year of high school and we missed 30 plus days of school. It started in october and did not quit till april then the floods that followed that were what turned alot of sloughs in to lakes that are still fishable to this day.
That was a deep snow winter but easier in the woods where the wind can’t mess things up like the open country. That was a VERY long winter. My uncle was out snowmobiling in 98 when lead got 114 inches that was wild. I know there was a crew on sleds that 96-97 winter that brought groceries to ranchers all winter that couldn’t get to town. We only got 10 inches out of this storm so nothing crazy out here.I was in Mobridge winter 96-97. Over all much worse but for a single storm this one was bad. Over 50 inches, yes 50, in the northern hills.
