I've had one for 5 or 6 years, no real complaints about it other than some minor flaking of the powder coat on the shelf below and my mother board went out this summer, but that was only $100 if i remember correctly. Also, the meat thermometer quit working pretty quick after buying it, but I rarely used it anyways.
Comparing it to a Traeger, you will see that the Gridiron is built much better and is made in Nebraska not China.
If you buy one, get the cover if its going to be stored outside. I also got the lid insulator for winter smoking.
