What are some blaze orange jacket options for whitetails in gun season? I'm considering a jetstream and layering under it, but I'm interested in knowing if there are any good insulated options. My dad had one he ordered from sportmans warehouse in the 80's that was awesome. Haven't seen anything like it since.

I have a blaze Jetstream I wear for gun season in WI. If it’s too cold for that during gun season I’ll wear my colder weather camo with a cheap blaze vest over it. Best I can tell, no one makes anything equal to like the sitka fanatic in blaze or anything like that.

Stone glacier just came out with the helio hoody and cirque lite vest in blaze, that could help stretch if you want premium stuff.

But the most cost effective way I’ve found is just a cheaper blaze vest.

Look around at other brands. I had a thread last winter looking for a blaze/bright orange puffy I could toss on when glassing (doesn't have the "swoosh" considerations of whitetail clothes though). I ended up getting a bright orange puffy from lands end. Far from perfect but it works for my use case.

You can get the stone glacier headwall (basically their version of the jetstream with a quite face).

I have the jet stream and am plenty happy with it (mainly used in MN and WI) if I were to buy today I might get the SG but no reason to change right now.

I generally combine it with the OR Helium hoodie and either theri cirque vest or the arteryx atom hoodie - all in blaze so I can add and subtract as needed while keeping a fully orange top.

This combo gets me through a very wide temp range

You may have been down this road already, but I decided to use my normal outerwear jackets for rifle season and layer a light LLBean blaze orange vest over them for legal compliance. For me, my normal jacket would be a Sitka Jetstream or a FirstLite Sanctuary. My decision was based on why have two of the same high quality jackets in different colors for limited usage when I could save money with the vest.

On the contrary, my brother really likes to use his Sitka Stratus blaze orange jacket for gun season. Different strokes for different folks.
