Any chance you have a side pic of that 4x? Looks like it could have some palmation. And I love the bladed out look of the forkey. Is he trying for a kicker on his right rear?love blacktail! only ever hunted columbias right on the southern Oregon coast. Here's my two coolest bucks, a 5 year old (ODFW aged) giant forky and an ancient (estimated at 11+) goofed up 4x4

I can grab a pic of the mount, it is crazy palmated and has a huge knob by the right eyeguard. The forky did have a knob there on the back right.Any chance you have a side pic of that 4x? haha! area just doesn't put out a lot of big racked bucks. I think they are much different critters than California blacktail. I think their ears are way smaller, legs shorter and that tail is all black and wide like a whitetail's. Both were killed within hearing/smell of the ocean. The old guy was just ancient and beat up.Do you guys have a history of nuclear ☢ testing there? Or just a couple of freaks?

Very unique. Bucks like this make me wish I could see last years rack. I don’t claim to be an expert but I’d guess there was some kind of incident during antler growth, big knob on right side and looks like left side has weird thickness variation in about the same spot...
Yea I agree some sort of injury to the developing antlers. Maybe that combined with having no teeth left put him in a poor antler growth situationVery unique. Shame that big one looked nasty massive. The other 2 are definitely good representatives of Blacktail tooHeres a couple. The big one on trail cam I never could get. The second he rubbed velvet he was gone every year. He was poached by someone trespassing unfortunately or someone shot him outta a truck at night idk. But he didn’t die if ild age.
Offend? Heck no man. Where I’m from a 3 point black tail is a shooter for anyone, and most guys don’t pass up smaller ones either. Good bucks man.Not the biggest but I was raised a meat hunter. Any time you bag a coastal blacktail no matter the size, you earned it. I need to upload more. Sorry if some of the little ones offend anybody.
