It went up in large part because Hodgdon bought out Western powders in 2020.Crazy how this stuff has increased in the last few years. Supply / demand, i guess.
Wasn't Ramshot part of that deal as well? Ramshot powders are some of the cheapest around these days.It went up in large part because Hodgdon bought out Western powders in 2020.

But that didn't keep H4350 from skyrocketing in price. What the hell is up with IMR? H4350 is $67.99 locally. IMR4350 is $79. Not once in my life have I wanted IMR over H4350.Blackhorn 209 doesn’t have a direct competitor which is the biggest reason it can cost so much.
If you can’t get H4350 on the other hand there are half a dozen options that will give you the same velocities and burn rates.
It's about as close to smokeless gunpowder that you can get for a muzzleloader. Shoots a lot cleaner than Pyrodex or Triple 7. Depending on the gun you have, you might have to get a different breech plug.worth trying for a newb? Have just used pellets previously
