So I finally decided to work on the CVA Maghunter. I switched the breech plug to the hex style plug. I decided to shim the bolt face forward to eliminate the headspace gap between the bolt face and primer. I test fired it today with a 110 gr load of Blackhorn 209 pushing a 250 gr Hornady monoflex. My only concern is there was enough back pressure to blow the primer back into the firing pin hole. Has anyone else done this modification and had this issue?

Blackhorn 209 compatible breech plug for CVA Maghunter
My dad bought a CVA Maghunter at an auction for $50. The breech plug needs replaced. Currently, it is seized in place but I think I can get it out. If I get it out, does anyone make a Blackhorn 209 compatible plug? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
