Glendon Mullins and myself will be doing a review on the Black Ovis lightweight reusable game bags during this hunting season. I just received mine and they look really great. These are the large size designed to hold deer size game or larger boned out animals.

Of course, the first thing a rokslider does is weigh the set.
My scale said that the set weighed 13.9 ounces, claimed weight by Black Ovis is 1 pound, 1 ounce. The set I received was missing the flagging tape which may explain the weight difference.

The game bags alone weighed 10.7 ounces which is outstanding for a backpack devoted hunter.

For me, things that I really like are the weight, orange/white colors, reflective band and the drawstring closure. Now all I need to do is get them bloody.........

I have the large white ones. We've used them several times, hung whole hind elk quarters in them for several days, zero issues, and yes the lightweight is great! Deboned elk hind quarter in each of these bags last Saturday1000005452.jpg

Got to use the Game Bags on our Eastern Montana Mule Deer trip for the 1st time, my son killed a small buck. I like high visibility of the orange on the sacks. Everything in the kit came as advertised, having the latex gloves and the plastic sheet in the kit is invaluable IMO.

I liked the high visibility of the orange and the reflective strip as well, the drawstring cords are nice to use as well instead of trying to tie a knot and such. They are lightweight and get the job done.

I hope to give them more of a test on some whitetail and possibly bear in Virginia and will update accordingly!
