Black ovis is back… well kinda

Weekly drops of something you have on hand are kind of scammy…. Why not just post everything “he” has now, and then add stuff as he gets it?

Camofire/Blackovis also had it all in their warehouse and it wasn't a scam...
It made a little more sense when it was on the black ovis website all the time, with a separate deals website for overstocks and closeouts. Now it’s just limited drops for no reason.

Fair enough. I'll give you that.

Fwiw, I think the "drop" business model kind of sucks but it plays into people's FOMO and it seems to be popular lately.

I still don't think it automatically seems "scammy."

Black ovis was making the gear and it was their brand. Spike camp is not making the gear. Spike camp bought the gear they could buy at the time trying to do you guys a favor who still wanted it before it disappeared into the ether. There’s nothing scammy about it. They put it in drops because it’s one man having to fulfill all of these orders and cannot possibly handle if every item sells out quickly. He would rather do things in a manageable way and deliver it to customers on time rather than you having to wait a month for your order.

Scammy probably wasn’t the right wording, more silly/annoying.
