Black ovis/camofire going out of business?

Bummer, I always bought my peak refuel stuff from them. Got a lot of things from them over the years actually. They were really great when they had free shipping and a 10% rokslide code.

That slowly went away, but it was good while it lasted.

I just ordered a bunch of peak refuel packs from them on the 17th. I’d better get that or a refund.

Disappointed in the news for sure. Camofire was a daily thing for me and I had a very long order history going back years with both.

Saw on another site Black Ovis was purchased by HUSH. Don’t know if that’s true but if it is I’m not excited by the move.

There was an instagram post from Hush a few months ago about switching from firstlie to black ovis, nothing about ownership.

If they are filling bankruptcy tommorrow, and they haven't shipped your order, there probably will be no refunds. Once they file, everything is under control of the judge.

Depends on what happened. You do not always get made whole in a BK / asset sale situation. In most other scenarios you do.

I cant imagine BK is not part of this though given the abruptness.

Best news I've heard all day. I used to buy all my gear from them, then after the *most recent* MF conviction I emailed and asked if they would continue to carry MF gear. They never replied, which was odd because prior to that I would get very quick responses for any questions I had. (A second email went unanswered as well) Never spent another $ with Blackovis after that day. By all accounts the owner is a nice guy and maybe his hands were tied so he had to continue to peddle MF branded crap, but multiple wildlife convictions are not something I can look past and choose to spend my money with companies that feel the same.

dam I have some clothing on the way and was wanting to order a bunch more. I love campfire and buy quite a bit of stuff from them. Hope someone bought them out hate to see them close.

It's definitely not coming. I'd go to your bank to get your money back, with copies of the emails here as proof they're out of business.

Employees of the place quite literally said they closed doors and are done.

Retail is a tough go, especially that line of wares. Bummer, I got good service from them, never fought me on my preferred shipping which is huge in Alaska.

I would attempt a charge back now before the BK is filed. Once it is you are likely too late.

I used to be a regular customer of Camofire. I am still using many Core4Element pieces. I was working in SLC once and stopped at the store front, tried on a bunch of clothing, the guys working there were great. Kendall always treated me very well. I am sad to hear of the likely closing.
