Black gunk while cleaning

I’m cleaning my rifle right now and black gunk has been coming out with my wet patches. It looks like tar or plastic or something… it doesn’t really look like carbon but I don’t know

Anyone have an idea?

No, just regular lead and copper bullets.

I was thinking it might be the plastic from my nylon bore brushes corroding with the Butches Bore shine, but this is the first time I’ve seen this

That could be, i use nylon alot and never had that issue. I try to avoid solvents or cleaners with ammonia though too

I moved away from ammonia. I have been using boretech and I really like it a lot. No nasty chemicals, safe for the barrel, safe for my health.
