I’d recommend building a lighter arrow setup, you could shoot through a barn regardless. I have a pretty long draw and I like that 295-305 fps range. You could probably get that with a 500ish grain arrow, which is still heavier than most.

I like 3-blade 1.5” mechanicals (original Spitfires)as I’ve had much better blood trails than with the 1.5” 2-blade Ulmer Edge..forerunner of the Sevr. Had great luck with the Spitfires….475 gr arrows going about 272 fps from my 65# Prime Rival….taken lots of black bears and a large polar bear with the combo over the past 7 seasons.

You have enough energy to hunt anything in the world with your arrows.

I’ve never had the opportunity to hunt bear, but hopefully that changes next season. If I take my bow, I’ll probably stick with the mega meat or switch to a dead meat. I’ve been a huge fane of that head for a few years now.

At your specs, I’d go mega meat and make as big of a hole as you can. I hunt with a Realm SS at 72/28.25 with a 466 gr arrow at 284 and have passed through the 7 deer I’ve shot with the mega meats.
