I sleep so much better on my stomach rather than my side or back, almost to the point where I cant fall asleep any other way...

Any suggestions or thoughts on a bug-proof bivy/bag that'll work for stomach sleeping?

I currently use a neo-air or big agnes pad and a marmot helium bag. Stomach sleeping with the mummy bag isn't ideal, but i can make it work.

I'm also a stomach sleeper. I've found that a quilt with a wide pad works the best. I'm currently using a EE 10° wide quilt, a wide/long Exped Downmat UL7, in a wide/long Borah M90 bivy.

I'm a stomach sleeper as well......at least starting off the night. I use a Large Xtherm pad with a quilt and that works fine. Sure, a sleep number bed would be more ideal, but not hauling one of those up.

BTW I have a new custom sized Borah bug bivy and large Xlite pad for sale in the Classifieds.

I like the sound of it as well... I'm 6'3" #240, so the wide/long may be better than just the long! The quilt idea is pretty interesting, how does it perform in cold around 0 degrees? Presuming its contained in a bivy.

My only issue with a quilt is the thought of sleeping directly on my pad. I put off a fair bit of moisture during the night and find I like a little fabric between me and the pad. In fact I'm not even crazy about the thin nylon bottom of my BA bag and you can't wear base layers ALL the time.

Giving thought to if a 200 thread count cotton over pad sheet might be the ticket.

Thoughts....?

I've only taken my setup down to the low twenties and I've been toasty warm. I'm a firm believer in the pad being the key. I think that with a good r-value pad, a 0° quilt, and a bivy, single digits wouldn't be a problem.

I thought I would hate sleeping directly on my pad too, but it doesn't bother me at all.
