I've seen a few at AKC hunt tests, it seems like with a lot of work you can get them to the starting level of a well-bred lab, or a golden/chessie with a years worth of training. I've not seen one in a stake higher than junior hunter.

Maybe they're more popular and successful in other areas, but around me they're a novelty breed and not very impressive.

He is working on the ducks, lots of “place” work this off season, he needs to learn to sit and wait patiently, which is hard for this terrier.
