I like having a Bipod option for shooting longer range but am really not liking packing the rifle around with the Bipod attached. Not so much a weight problem as bulk & noise. Seems like its always banging on brush and trees. I kind of like the Spartan Precision setup for detachable bipod. I also like the option for longer legs. But Spartan is really spendy... any other options out there? A friend has his Tripod set up with an ARCA Swiss head with a plate attached to the rifle and that could be a possibility. Anyone know of other detachable Bipod brands worth looking at?

I really like the spartan. It has some cheaper/simpler options (javelin) and you can get multiple stock mounts to easily use one bipod with every gun. I have ended up with a tripod attachment too.

What kind of height range do you desire? What features are you after?

I enjoy my Atlas Cal but it’s bulky and kind of heavy for only being a prone bipod. I run a RRS head that clamps in both arca and pic rails.

I love the price and form factor of my Harris. One I have upgraded to clamp onto pic rails but I could also attach a RRS clamp like above.

I enjoy the height of my Hatch.

I hated the wobble and slop in both my MDT grnd and Magpul bipods.

I franken-built a few different parts for my Harris. I really like the harris but didn't like how clunky it was to attach. Took the sling stud mount off and put an ARMS-17 style mount (like a RRS) on. Then, attached that to the Magpul Grabber. The grabber is a thumbscrew mount that can attach to ARCA or Pic. It's a little heavier and bulkier that I'd like but it works well, for now. I originally wanted a QR type mount but really haven't been taking the bipod off much so may go to a smaller "non-quick" pic clamp for it.

I have an Atlas Cal with the RRS Arca and Pic adapter. You can easily slide off the bipod to mount on an Arca Swiss tripod.

I bought the hatch outwest and really like it. Attaches/detaches quickly from a pic rail mounted on the fore end. I mounted a rail on multiple rifles so I can swap it around.
