Binos on a tripod is a whopping game changer

I much prefer binos to a spotter. So, I cobbled this together primarily for use when animals are moving and I want to be able to cover a lot of ground pretty quickly. Works pretty well anytime though (I have not had a chance to try it with a doubler on my binos, but I suspect that will require move to a tripod). Sticks can rest on top of shoulders or go in your armpits---you become the tripod. You pretty much can avoid a tripod except for really long range viewing or really picking apart an area. It is pictured with Meopta 15x56s. Components are

Field Optics Research steady sticks

Outdoorsmans bino adapter and quick release adapter

Couple of parts I picked up on Amazon

If anyone is interested, I'll dig up the parts I bough on Amazon and update.

Great Stuff, Thanks all.

Im giving Rob a call at S&S. Going to give the field optics research a shot!

I'm not sure why I have waited so log also..... only have had the tripod adapter for a couple of weeks now and can't believe the improvement on glassing. Well worth the money.

I used some gift cards from christmas to pick up a vortex ss-p and the field research adapter. I've only played around a bit near my house so far but very quickly was spotting birds, thin sign posts, etc. at distances it it would have taken me a bit to focus in on. I can easily see how others are saying it makes little movements/parts of animals pop out more. I'm very excited to glass this year. I can handle carrying around that SS-P tripod based on its size.

I picked up a set of Swarovski SLC 10x42, Promaster 525C and Vanguard 2 way pan head from from S&S Archery last month...completely changed my life with this set up! Not sure why I waited so long! Great service from S&S Archery! I am using the Field logic adapter works really well for me.
