So I spent some more time this weekend behind my 10x42 Vortex Vipers and have finally convinced myself that I need a tripod. What say you on a tripod and quick connect that's not going to break the bank for binos only? Only going to be used 5 days this year on a drop camp September archery hunt in Colorado.

I use a Slik 634cf tripod with a Benro S2 head and I love it and fully recommend it. My hunting buddy just purchased the benro tripod mentioned above along with a S2 head and it's an incredible value! It's very similar to the Slik 624cf at about half the price!!! I think it will become he new affordable benchmark for lightweight carbon fiber tripods!

slik sprint pro II new on ebay for around $80-90. Works well for me with 10x42s and 15x56s

I normally use a SLIK 824 CF with a Manfrotto 128rc micro fluid head, because I really like a big stable tripod and micro fluid head for all day glassing that I can lean on without transferring any shake to my binos. But on the flip side if I'm going light, I'll take a slik sprint mini II tripod with the included SBH-100DQ ball head and it does everything I need it to with 10x42's. I'll even run my 85mm Razor on there without any issues as long as I'm out of the wind. If I were going for just one tripod on a budget, that slik sprint pro II that WoodBow mentions above would be a great choice. It's a little beefier, taller, and has the same ball head as the mini that I run.

For bino adapters, I'd look at Outdoorsmans. They're spendy, but worth it.
