Does anyone have recommendations for a bino harness without magnets in the lid? For context, I have a marsupial bino harness with magnets that I really like except for the magnets seems to mess up the onX app on my phone with which way my blue dot says im facing. I would like to get my father a new one for fathers day because the one he has is the generic one from vortex. In turkey season he mentioned that he would like a camo one but with out magnets. Looking for recommendations, Thanks!

Edit** also am looking for one that opens away from your chest.

I really like my kifaru harness. well... actually I like their bucket as I use a marsupial harness. I tried the marsupial no-mag and stone glacier but felt like the marsupial was too bulky and the sentinel didn't fit my above average binos (ziess SF 10x42) and also seemed a bit on the loud side. the kifaru has everything I was looking for, no-mag, low bulk, one hand operation, fairy dust...

if you go with the kifaru and are looking for more storage I skipped their nav pouch (too big) and have their admin pouch on front. Can't say that I love the direction Kifaru is going these days, but if I lost mine I'd have a new one on the way tomorrow. Hell, I might be poking thru the classifieds looking for a back up after I post this.

I’ve got Kuiu old style and the Pro, Marsupial, and Alaska Guide Creations. The AGC is my favorite, it is a little big but does everything well and has pockets where you can legitimately carry a few small items where the others are really only the bino’s.

I have the older Marsupial no-mag with the current no-mag rangefinder pouch. I've been extremely happy with it and wouldn't hesitate to buy the newer version.

I have a couple of the Marsupials with and without magnets. They are the best I have tried. And they don't outsource to the third world- made in the USA.

I have a Marsupial wo magnets that gets heavy use during elk and deer here out West. Have it set up with accessories pouch for rangefinder and inReach device. Can't think of a better setup for my needs.

I’ve tried a few and settled on the KUIU Pro.

Most of the other front opening magnet free ones have bungee cords that get in the way of using the side pockets.

I just bought a Kifaru and really like it. Well made, front opening without magnets , one handed opening and closing. I got the deluze one with rangfinder and small storage pouch. Oh yeah and for guys wondering how to live without tethers I solved that with a thin old webbing camera strap on my binos ,best of both worlds. Not attached to harness but safe from dropping with strap around my neck without holding up binos. I will be using smallest diameter shock cord for a rangefinder tether.

A little off topic, but has anyone noticed if the magnetic digiscoping phone cases mess up onyx maps?

I went down this path earlier this year. I just posted the review of where I landed with my Bino harness. The Alaska guide creations Ravus flex model. It checks all my boxes and I couldn’t be happier with it. Here is the video if you want to check it out. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions too.

I can't believe so many guys recommend the Kuiu Pro. I hate mine. It's noisy, squeaks. The rangefinder pocket is too small so it's hard to get my rangefinder in and out quickly and quietly. The whole harness is very floppy even adjusted snugly. And the flat pocket on the front is pointless.

The best harness I ever used was, unfortunately, the Muley Freak one that I handed down to my wife. I bought it before I knew better.
No magnets. Good pocket placements. The bino and rangefinder flaps opened quietly and the right amount. Tempted to just buy another one and cut the tags off.
