Biking vs running for cardio

Lots of people wear either the wrong type or size shoes. Proper alignment and shock absorbtion goes a long way in preventing injury. Suggest going to a real running footware store and getting an expert fitting. Most people overpronate, and benefit from shoes designed to manage that. Best to go late in the day when feet are at max size. Shoes are the only investment required to run, don't cheap out. Ideally, own two pairs in different brands (both of which are correct) and alternate days. And, track mileage and replace BEFORE worn out (the shoes, not you!) I say this cause I passed a kid wearing high top basketball shoes this morning.
 
no more running for these old joints, but i've really taken a liking to rucking. load up the pack and hit the hills- really enjoying it over the past year.
 
I have a specialized that I ride on our gravel road typically do 6-7 miles. There are small hills but they feel huge on the bike!! I try to push hard the whole way and feel I get a good cardio workout.
