Big Foot heck, why not ask people likely to have seen one.

Joe Rogan was talking on one of his podcasts and mentioned how Bigfoot sightings used to be all the time along with UFOs and other unexplained things. Since the age of cell phones with the ability to snap a pic at anytime, and all the trailcams and so forth, the sightings have been none. At least in my world.
Pretty good video of "one" taken in western NC last year.

I like to think there's animals out there we haven't found. If there is a Bigfoot that would be pretty cool.

There are animals out there we haven't found- new insects, oddball birds living in isolated pockets....they just found a new species of small shark in Belize.

It's my opinion that these finds make the existence of Bigfoot less likely. If we discover a new species of shark that looks almost exactly like another species of shark out there in the big wide ocean. For that matter, giant squid- we have had physical evidence of giant squid for well over 50 years but living specimens are still exceedingly rare. If we find these kinds of obscure creatures, then having an 8' primate living undiscovered in N. America becomes far less likely.

There are some pretty skittish critters out there. For instance, wolverines have huge ranges and are widely dispersed...we still find them. Lynx are mostly nocturnal and super skittish and still get hit by cars, shot, caught on camera, etc. Even mountain lions, rumored to be on the E.Coast for years and years are now showing up on game cameras at a pretty astonishing clip from areas they were extirpated from in the 1800s.

Well according to the worlds smartest physicists Bigfoot is not only possible but predicted. See the math supporting string theory only works in a ten dimensional universe. So what exists in those other six dimensions? An example of this would be a school of fish living in a pond arguing over the existence of humans. Every argument made against Bigfoot could be made by those fish against the existence of humans.

And then there are the Elon Musks of the world who believe we are living in a computer simulation. He makes a strong argument. The Universe is governed by the same math as a VR simulation. And it won't be long before we can't tell the difference between reality and the virtual world. And at that point in time what's the difference? And since we didn't write the laws of the universe what are the odds that we are the first to unlock those laws? If this is the case than anything, including Bigfoot, is certainly possible.

Also I'm not sure how anyone can believe in God but not Bigfoot? Any argument for one can't be made against the other.

In the science v. Theology equation I lean more on the scientific side but the more we learn the greater the argument is for a God existing. One must have faith to believe in the math of string theory. In the end, say within the next 50-100 years, I believe science and theology will essentially become one in the same with one a focus of the physical world and the other the spiritual world and will finally start to work together and not at odds with each other.

So do I believe in Bigfoot. Well I'm a CYA kind of guy so yes. I believe in all of the above just in case I arrive at the pearly gates to find Bigfoot :).

I have always wanted to believe in bigfoot. Then trail cameras became readily available and i figured someone would have caught a pic of BF by now so i quit believing even in the possibility of sasquatch.
Then i got my first trailcams last year for hunting, not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but probably a little more than the regular trailcam newbie might spring for just to leave out in the forest. I got hundreds of pics of deer and bears and bobcats staring at it as their pic was taken. I had one bear i never got a good shot of because he would always come up to the camera from behind before slobbering all over it.
Even if you take into account all the trailcams in the woods its still like trying to catch a needle in a haystack with a needle in a haystack, assuming someone actually knows what they are doing when it comes to finding a creature that has never been found.
Then there is the fact that unless they are really hidden (which can make setting them up more difficult) a trail cam sticks out like a sore thumb.
Aaaaaand then take into account that the plastic trail cams are made with emits fumes (like all plastics) that even some people are sensitive to... and I believe in the possibility again.
As far as the cell phone argument goes even if you have the latest greatest the camera still sucks for long distance low light stuff.
Like i said i believe in the possibility.

There is lots of circumstasual evidence, footprints, sightings, hair, etc. Most sightings false, or hoaxes. According to some, hair samples belong to unidentified primate, and footprints have dermal ridges (like finger prints). The problem is do you believe these "experts" regarding the dermal ridges and hair. Most hair samples are from a deer or bear. Indian legends were probably adopted by trappers. Only a body or head, arm will prove it. If they don't exist, it's world's greatest hoax.

A lot of people talk about remains never being found. Now I'm not saying I do believe but I'm not saying I've totally written it off either. I will say as far as remains never being found. I hunt in the Alleghenies in pa and in the Daniel Boone bear sanctuary in Pisgah National forest in Nc. Both areas have very healthy black bear populations . I spend a good bit of time in both and have covered a good bit of ground. In all those years I've only seen 2 black bears and have never found any remains. I know they are there and not all are only harvested by hunters. Some die out there but I've never found a bone or anything. It doesn't take long for a body to disappear. Just saying.

Good point about the bear, I've never come across a dead bear in the woods(unless a buddy or I shot it). Only place I've seen a dead bear is along the road... and I'll bet any Bigfoot killed by the road gets dragged away by his pod( not sure what you call a group of Bigfoots).

good points...

I actually just discovered a new species of insect. Actually, it's probably a new genus. It's also about 1/4" long and looks like 9 million other "bugs". Discovering a new species of tiny little random bug is much much different than a giant ape.

Had something yell at me and some friends one night in the middle of nowhere. Not saying it was a Bigfoot but it was no a man either. Sounded like Arnold Schwarzenegger yelling on the movie Predator when he lit the bonfire but it was much louder and longer than anyone could possibly yell.. we got the **** outta there..

Seent one on a backpacking trip during my college years. Waltzed right through camp, did a little pirouette, and flipped us the bird before taking off. Sack of shrooms and a couple quarts of whiskey had nothing to do with it, I swear!

It's remarkable how often that happens, a few years back I read about some guys finding like 30 new species in an underground cave. I don't think one of them was bigger than a 50 cent piece. What's the last large land dwelling animal that we have discovered in North America?
