Not much for elk hunting but after some 30 days of going after mule deer and still a freezer near empty I decided to go on a meat hunt. Had a great day and a lot of fun!!! Picked this calf out of about 30 elk as they fed across the hillside. He looked the most tasty. I hiked in about 4 miles so I didn't want to haul out a big cow.
