I am such a blacktail guy, through and through. So dang these pics keep making me itch to get after em. But I drew a late mule deer tag this year. Would have to be one heck of a blacktail for me to shoot and give up my special tag. Haha. Good thing I have my boy to live through for the general Westside season.

One more of the 4x5. Full moon (and me not having a clue what I’m doing) is the only thing between me and him. I somehow still hunted within about 45 yards of him during archery. First and only time seeing him on the hoof

Also bonus cemetery bucks. By far the biggest blacktail I’ve ever seen, and his buddy isn’t far behind

just placed my first cam in blacktail/roosevelt country a few days ago.. the suspense is killing me!

interested in seeing how true it is that big mature bucks dont typically follow well traveled game trails and are more off to the side

SW Oregon bucks. I ran cameras pretty good for 2 years. The velvet smaller 3 point was my first buck 5 years ago.
