Big beautiful Washington lowland blacktail.

I got this beauty on the 26th. He is the biggest bodied blacktail I have ever seen. Im feeling very blessed for the 95lb of meet in my freezer. Probably the biggest buck I'll ever shoot. I had not seen him on any of my camera's before I shot him either. Big swollen neck, out looking for does. He had about an inch of fat all around his body.

Well done. Was a tough year for blacktail for me. Tons of does, only a one buck. Maybe the late season will produce.

I only made it out for about four days for blacktail this year and didn't see much. Some does and one small two point that I couldn't bring myself to shoot.

Great Buck! Congrats! That is a lot of meat! My biggest bodied blacktail weighed 171 pounds field dressed and cut in half after packing out for 2 miles. Both sections added up to 171. Western Oregon Blacktail.

I was in the 666 on a small patch of timber company land.

The butcher said he weighed around 220 on the hoof. We had him Skinned and gutted and when the butcher was done we got 95 pounds of steaks, roasts, stews and burger.
