In the market for a shelter upgrade. Looking at ultra light 2 person tents. This is a new one from BA. It has my attention. I like the specs and the space it provides. I'd just like to hear others opinions on this one.

For an extra few oz I will take the copper spur. The CS is truely free standing. CS is more functional with side doors and dual vestibules. For archery season, do you need more than a single wall like a tarptent rainbow or just a tarp?

I just ordered the 2014 copper spur ul2 for $320 at backcountry.com. They had free 2 day shipping also.

Here in Oregon you can get away with a single wall tent or tarp during archery season. Me, however, I prefer a actual tent. To many damn spiders, ants, and flies that time of year for my liking.

I can get this tent at a pretty good price so it wont hurt to try it out. At the very least it'd make a decent little car camping tent if it doesn't make it into my pack.
